SMKN 1 Lingga Successfully Conducts Offline Computer-Based Test (CBT) In-House Training Without Internet Network

LINGGA-State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Lingga organized an In-House Training (IHT) aimed at enriching the knowledge of teachers in designing and implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum based on Computer-Based Test (CBT) without relying on the internet network. The event, held from 17 to 19 Rabiul Akhir 1445H or coinciding with November 1-3, 2023, took place in the Multimedia Room of SMKN 1 Lingga.

The event was officially opened by the Head of School of SMKN 1 Lingga, Tarsim Tarigan, S.Pd. In his opening speech, he emphasized the importance of self-development for educators, especially in the face of rapid technological advancements. "This In-House Training is our effort to support teachers in improving the quality of learning in the Independent Learning Curriculum era. With a focus on the implementation of Computer-Based Tests without internet reliance, we hope teachers can optimize the use of technology in the learning process," said Tarsim Tarigan.

Participants in this event included all teachers from SMKN 1 Lingga, who enthusiastically participated in various training sessions. The topics covered included an introduction to offline CBT concepts, strategies for creating offline CBT-based exams without internet dependence, and techniques for composing computer-based test questions. In addition, teachers were also encouraged to practice using CBT applications directly without requiring internet connectivity, considering that in some areas, stable internet access may still be challenging.

One of the participating teachers, Sabarani, S.Pd, welcomed this activity. "I feel assisted by this training. The Independent Learning Curriculum is indeed a new challenge for us as educators, but through this activity, we can be better prepared to face it," he expressed. He also added that the implementation of CBT without internet is a practical solution, especially for areas that still face challenges in terms of connectivity.

During the three-day event, participants not only received theoretical knowledge but also actively engaged in various simulations and practices using CBT software. This was expected to enhance the practical skills of teachers so that they could promptly implement CBT-based learning in their classrooms.

The event concluded with a reflection session and certificate signing by the Head of School of SMKN 1 Lingga, as a form of appreciation for the active participation of teachers in this activity. With the hope that this In-House Training activity can have a positive impact on the improvement of education quality at SMKN 1 Lingga, teachers returned with a renewed spirit to face the challenges of learning in an ever-evolving era.
